Frequently Asked Questions
At Swiss Peptides Lab, we focus on offering a simple, smooth shopping experience for all your research peptides needs.
General
What can I use your research peptides products for?
As a research company, we advise everyone who contacts us with interest in peptides to undertake research and learn about what they are and what they do. Our products are intended for scientific research and development purposes only. Peptide shall not be used as a drug, medicine, active substance, medical aid, cosmetic product, a substance for production of a cosmetic product neither for human consumption that is any food or food supplement or otherwise similarly used on humans or animals. Please do not ask about human consumption as this is forbidden. Any emails or phone calls asking about this will be ignored.
How should I store my research peptides when I receive them?
Freeze-dried peptides are stable when stored correctly. As a rough guide:
- Lyophilised, refrigerated (2-8°C): Typically stable for 24 months or longer, depending on the sequence.
- Lyophilised, frozen (-20°C): Extended stability, often over 36 months.
- Reconstituted: Stability varies by peptide and solvent. In general, a maximum of 4 to 6 weeks.
We recommend storing all freeze-dried products in a fridge or freezer, in the original sealed vial, away from light and moisture.
How can I reconstitute my research peptides?
Most commonly with BAC water. In the US, everyone keeps talking about Hospira BAC water, which is generally not available in Europe.
You can also use sterile water, purchased in your local pharmacy, and it will usually be much cheaper.
Generally, you should use 2 to 3 ml of solvant to reconstitute your research peptides.
Why do research peptides differ in appearance?
Each aliquot of a peptide is deposited into each vial via a machine. The vial is then stoppered and moved inside the lyophilizer. Once in the lyophilizer, the vial is then given a nitrogen flush to rid any contaminates. This is the phase that will determine the appearance of the contents. Sometimes the water vapour can escape the vial where it goes from a solid to a gas without ever going through a liquid phase. This will make the contents adhere to the sides of the vial leaving very little to see by the naked eye. Other times, depending on several other factors including temperature, the appearance can look like a solid puck, a few smaller pucks, a powder material, or even just a few specks, but the amount of actual material is the same.
Do you sell other research peptides which don’t appear on your website?
Potentially, yes. Please reach out to us should you wish to inquire about research peptides that are not listed on our website.
Why does a 5mg vial appear nearly empty? Can it be verified by weight?
This is one of the most common questions we get, and it is completely normal. 5mg is a very small amount of material, roughly a few grains of fine salt. In a standard 2ml or 3ml vial, it will look like a thin film, a small disc or a barely visible amount of powder at the bottom.
Weighing the vial is not a reliable way to verify the contents, for several reasons:
- Most lab balances have a margin of error that can exceed the total peptide mass at these quantities.
- The weight of the vial, stopper, crimp seal and any residual moisture will dwarf the peptide mass.
- Vial tare weights vary between units, even within the same batch.
What if my reconstituted research peptide appears cloudy?
A slight cloudiness after adding solvent can happen and is not necessarily a problem. Common causes include:
- Incomplete dissolution: Some peptides take longer to dissolve, especially hydrophobic sequences. Gentle swirling (not shaking) and leaving the vial at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes usually resolves this.
- pH mismatch: Some peptides have poor solubility at neutral pH. Using the right solvent (e.g. dilute acetic acid for basic peptides, or alkaline buffer for acidic sequences) can help.
- Concentration: Reconstituting at too high a concentration can exceed the solubility limit.
- Mannitol: In vials containing mannitol, it dissolves quickly but may briefly cloud the solution.
If cloudiness persists after gentle mixing and a few minutes at room temperature. Get in touch with the product details and a description of how you reconstituted it, and we will look into it.

Refunds are not offered for:
- Change of mind after dispatch.
- Returns sent without prior authorisation.
- Products that have been opened, reconstituted or otherwise used.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method, usually within 2-5 working days.
Crypto Payment
I have never used cryptocurrencies before, what shall I do?
Unfortunately, we only accept cryptocurrency payments currently.
It is not as complicated as it sounds.
How can I pay with cryptocurrencies?
It depends what type of bank/neobank or trading account(s) you have.
Most neobanks (Revolut, Wise, Yuh, etc.) often have cryptocurrencies. In that case, you can use your current EUR/USD/CHF balance to purchase either USDT or USDC.
Most trading platforms (Swissquote, Etoro, Interactive Brokers, etc) also have cryptocurrencies. Purchase USDT or USDC with your current fiat balance.
I have a cold wallet (Ledger, Trezor, etc.) or a hot wallet (Metamask, Rabby, Binance wallet), what shall I do?
If you have funds on either a cold or hot wallet, check what you have. If you have BTC/ETH, convert them to USDC or USDT. Then send them to either the Ethereum network, Arbitrum network, or Base network.
You can use a bridge such as stargate (https://stargate.finance/), or https://www.cctp.to/ for USDC transfers, or https://usdt0.to/ for USDT transfers. Most of them also allow you to bridge to a different wallet. You can directly put the one provided in the order confirmation.
I don’t have any of the above, what shall I do?
Either open an account with one of the above.
If not, open a crypto account with the most common ones. Kraken and Binance are reliable options. Once created, you should send EUR/USD/CHF there. Do not use the “credit card” option, as there usually are a lot of fees.
Please make sure to take fees into account and currency conversions. For example, if you send CHF or EUR, you will need to convert them in USDC or USDC, which imply forex conversions.
I have USDC or USDT, what shall I do next?
Once you’ve managed to obtain USDC or USDT on your account, you must find the “withdraw” option from your account and send them to the address provided by email (or directly on the website after you confirmed your order).
We will provide an address that starts with “0x…….” (zero then x), followed by a sequence of random numbers and letters. This is the equivalent of an IBAN, but in crypto terms. Simply copy/paste it. If your platform offers multiple chain options, select the cheapest option between Ethereum, Arbitrum, or Base.
Please make sure to take into account withdrawal fees (withdrawal fees will likely be lower on Arbitrum & Base).
If your order amounts to $100, please send either 100 USDC or 100 USDT. If your order amounts to $150, please send either $150 USDC or $150 USDT.
If you realize that you made a mistake, please contact us.
If you’ve sent the funds to the wrong address, we can not help you. The erronous address does not belong to us and we have no way to get the money back. Make sure to copy/paste the address.
All of this is too complicated for me, what shall I do?
Please contact us if you need help. You can use the bank transfer method.
If you send the funds to the wrong address, we will not be able to help you.
If you want to confirm a payment, feel free to send us an email or reach out to us on Telegram. A tx hash (the transaction number) always helps and will make the resolution faster.
In case of doubts, or if you’re doing it for the first time, do not hesitate to contact us. We can help you if needed. Once you’ve managed to obtain USDC or USDT, it is often much faster than sending a bank transfer, and requires nothing more than copy/pasting the crypto address.
Shipping
When are orders dispatched?
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Dispatch cutoff is 3pm.
How long does delivery typically take?
For Switzerland, 1 to 2 days.
For France, 2 to 3 days.
Where do you currently ship to?
We only ship to Switzerland and France.
How are peptides packaged? Do you ship discreetly?
All orders are packaged to protect the contents during transit. Research peptides are stable at room temperature for the duration of normal postal delivery and do not need cold-chain shipping.
No mention of peptides will appear on your package. The package will look like a normal package.
Will I have to pay customs charges?
No, packages for Switzerland are sent from Switzerland.
Packages for France are sent from France.
There will be no additional customs charges.
Will customs inspect and/or hold my package?
No, your package will not go through customs. Hence shorter delivery times and no risk to get your package rejected by customs.
Don’t peptides need to be kept at a certain temperature during transit?
The temperature of the peptides during transit is not of concern, especially since we ship from two locations, shipping times are short and reduce this common concern.
For them to remain active, the most important factor is that they are kept out of direct sunlight. Peptides will arrive in lyophilised powder form. Short-term temperature change during shipping should not affect the product quality and efficacy.
